Bright shines the city at night

Street lights glow, neon yellow

Like the sun

Shining beacons

Light the earth

Bright radiance warms the air

Red lights coil and twist

Spiral and fade

Snakes circling

Empty highways

Distance creating stark silence

Gaze drawn by twinkling lights

Bright stars shimmer

Sparkling, glistening

Gleaming amidst

Black curtain of darkness

Moon shadowed by opaque cloud

Hazy, detail obscured

Diffused halo

Pale translucent aura

Illuminating gentle light
