Does anyone else get very confused when hubby/kids are home on the wrong day?
Or when you aren’t in work and it’s not a weekend? Today is Friday (still Friday for another hour), but all day I’ve had that Saturday feeling… oh it is so confusing!

In addition to the complexities of what day it is, the kids have been so very grotty today, taking turns to throw their tempers our way until they hibernated in their rooms watching TV for hours and hours… while hubby and I enjoyed the spring sunshine and did some gardening. And we are so glad of the sunshine because our heating chose today, the first day of a four day holiday weekend to stop working… again… as it inconveniently did this over Christmas as well. We are hoping the forecast temperature drop doesn’t materialise before we can get it working again.

Anyway, with spring most definitely in the air, we weeded and raked the veg beds and sowed the first lot of seeds. I’m enjoying getting back into gardening and I especially enjoyed having hubby work alongside me. I have also been industriously working on my poetry and have started submitting work to competitions etc. and am hopeful that this will be the start of something good!

With this confused random post comes an apology. I have been reliably writing almost everyday for the last three months but with school holidays (two weeks) disrupting my routine I might not be able to write as often. I will try my best because as I said yesterday, I find it very therapeutic… and I promise what I write will not just be a barrage of moaning about the lack of enthusiasm of teenage boys. Also, it saddens me when I don’t have enough time to read your blogs, there really aren’t enough hours in the day at the moment. Too many irons in the fire as the saying goes.

Wishing you all a relaxing weekend,

K x

Life gets in the way and more important things need doing. I think most of us with busy lives understand the problem. You do better than I do!

Yes, it really is too bad that we have so many things to do that reading every single post is not always possible.
When I’m on vacation, or have a day off for the Holidays, I’m unaware of the days of the week, too. It screws up my routines a bit, but I take it as a good thing every now and then. It allows me to roam around free. Not being constrained by days, calendars and my perceptions associated with them.

It’s same with all the mothers.
Family, children and work take the chunk of our time and energy.
But I have drawn a time table for myself and try to stick to it with some changes here and there.
    It helps.

I will get some time to myself, if nothing else I can go running in the evening. I find my mental capacity for writing/planning is severely diminished when dealing with grumpy teenagers all day!

  4. Long weekends like this can make the days confusing and sometimes a day seems like another day depending on where we are living in time in ourselves at that time…..teenage boys .. oohhh I can understand its not easy. sending you happy wishes for an easter full of sunshine..
