Raindrops from Heaven

Furious downpour of raindrops from heaven
the rhythmic sound of a thousand drums
their beating timbre pounding on pavements
and melodious dancing that rooftops welcome

The sky is covered, the sun’s disappeared
the light is hidden by darkness
the clouds and mist that wrap all around
and render the night sky quite starless

Rain washes the world and leaves it clean
gives nature a sparkling glow
reviving plants from hot summer days
encouraging rivers and streams to flow

Very soothing and almost like rain itself. I love the sound of rain and how the garden smells after a storm.
