Inchoate – Labyrinth of Life (poem)

Ok, so I have to admit firstly to not even knowing how to pronounce this word and secondly to not knowing what it means. So confession over…

Inchoate: meaning something that has just begun, is not fully formed, rudimentary, imperfect. My understanding of the word inchoate, is inchoate.

For each one of us, our lives are inchoate.

Labyrinth of Life

societal expectation
driving success, striving
determined to reach
life’s single goal
the centre
of the labyrinth
ignorant
to the possibility of
alternate pathways
obscured by
a lack of vision
your imagination
inchoate
your future
unmapped
be an explorer
seek out adventure
in your labyrinth of life
