Poetry… it’s my thing!

Hello blogging world!

I had the absolute most fun writing today’s daily prompt poem.
I really have no idea where my inspiration comes from, it seems to flow from some hidden place in my mind. The daily prompt word was ‘abrupt’ and from this single word I wrote a poem about Sat Nav… odd doesn’t begin to cover it!

Looking back, I have creatively constructed many daily prompt poems and I really enjoy the challenge of creative writing on a single word. I also enjoy reading other people’s contributions. We bloggers are a pretty creative lot!

Here are some of my recent favourites…

Social Media – prompt word ‘authentic’

“poem” – prompt word ‘vague’

Empty Shell – prompt word ‘cur’

With Open Eyes – prompt word ‘notable’

The Hand of Fate – prompt word ‘astonish’

I hope you enjoy my unique brand of creativity! 🙂

You’re like me an instant poet
    Forget any messing
    And just get to it.

    Follow the prompts
    Most every day
    Something pops up
    And you’re away.

Just discovered Daily Prompt and like you find it inspirational. Strangely these random and quickly knocked up efforts go down better than the considered stuff.
