At the Races (poem)

jewel coloured dresses flutter in the breeze
a flaunted kaleidoscope of colour
as spiked heels sink into the soft ground
light glints and sparkles from diamond clad fingers
jockeys parade
flaunting their racing colours
the glossy silk
vibrant against the glossy chestnuts and greys
confident young studs
flaunt wide smiles and loud raucous laughter
