Infect me with your smile! :)

It’s funny how in writing a poem I often end up with something completely different from what I’d planned.

Today’s Daily Prompt word is infect. The first thing that came to mind was how a smile or laughter can be infectious, and that was my start point. A poem with the working title of “Infect me with your smile“.

I’m not sure what happened along the way, but my final poem “Song of the Sea” describes how the calming sounds of waves on a pebble beach can infect a person with tranquillity and peace.

Beautiful! I love the sea!

And I also love to smile, and this poem makes me smile. One might say that this poem infects me with its smile, and that what I wrote was fitting to my original thought… serendipity.

This poem also marks my 100th poem published on my blog, another thing that makes me smile! I love writing poetry!
