Good morning friends, it seems incredible that June is here already. The first official summer month in the UK. We have been incredibly fortunate and the last few weeks have given us some beautiful weather, my garden is thriving. I am growing sugar snap peas, beetroot, chard and raspberries. I also created a herb planter from an old BBQ last summer which is doing really well.
Last month my journaling came to a bit of a standstill, I had lost all motivation. But I’m ready to get back on track and try to organise my life, by putting in place some goals and scheduling activities.
I love designing my BuJo cover pages and finding inspirational quotes to use; quotes that are very fitting to Blue Sky Days philosophy and poetry.
This month I am going to take some time to set goals in the following areas: running, poetry, gardening, knitting, cycling, piano and cooking.
Last month I enjoyed Vegetarian Week and trying new recipes, so I will put in place a goal related to this. I also became very obsessed with running in May and it became my default activity, I plan to be more measured in my approach to running this month, add in more swimming and cycling, and make time for gardening and knitting. I will continue writing my poetry and publishing something most days on here, but I also want to start working towards becoming published outside of my blog, so I need to research and submit to competitions and publishers. And I want to get back into learning piano, so will schedule time to practice.
Finally, instead of focusing on achievements, I want to think more about gratitude, the little things in life that make it sparkle just a bit brighter.
I’m looking forward to June, it’s going to be awesome!!!
(and it also happens to be my birthday this month)
