Now, let’s laugh about it… (Partners in Crime – poem)

Partners in Crime

His little blue body
is small and round
with arms to the sides
and legs to the ground
His head wrapped in white
and his body too
a swathe of bandages
with a face peeping through

Poor little guy is
quite accident prone
trips over his feet
hits his head on a stone
Wherever he goes
there’s one guarantee
he’ll encounter misfortune
and fall from a tree

But no longer alone
he has me by his side
a partner in crime
of the unfortunate kind
Our bandages matching
on bumps to the head
just one consolation
at least we’re not dead
