Confused Reality (poem)

Not wanting to bang on about it but I’m sure you can guess the inspiration behind this poem!

Confused Reality

Immobile intoxication
Conflicting realities
of mind and body
Pinpoint pupils lack focus
Body spinning
Stomach churning
An unending fairground ride
From my steady bed
I rest
Body immobile
Mind in motion
Peripheral vision
Swirls and blurs
Staring at the ceiling
Still lampshade
Spiralling, rocking
Motion, emotion
Confused reality
of body and mind

No, it’s good! Any poem that can have that much of an impact has obviously been put together very carefully 😂
