Flames of Love (poetic prompt: sunshine)

I’m already feeling a little frazzled with school holidays (only on day 4) and my poetic mind wants to write poems that convey angst and despair – actually I did write one last night which is scheduled to post next week – however I think that a happy shiny poem to match the bright sunny day is in order.

Poetic prompt: sunshine.

Flames of Love

you are sunshine in my sky
with rays of golden light
the warming glow of sunrise
a welcome morning sight
the fireworks at sunset
displayed to greet the night
the colours of a rainbow
an arc so clear and bright
the glimmer of the stars
the translucent moon at twilight
you are mine and I am yours
may the flames of love ignite
