Since my post, a couple of weeks ago, confessing my bewilderment at twitter I think I’ve got the hang of it. So, what you do is follow anyone and everyone who writes tweets something you like, retweet it if you really like it, then they follow you and retweet your stuff, then their followers follow you, and you follow them, and before you know it you have over 150 followers in just two(ish) weeks. Then you look at the hashtags of the tweets you like and you find, for example #hangtenstories which is like the six-word story daily prompts but, you guessed it, with ten words. So, you then compose #hangtenstories and also label them #micropoetry and then even more people follow you and retweet and send you nice comments.
Easy really, where’s the #confusion?
#hangtenstories / #micropoetry

You are a fast learner Karen! 😀
I have been on WordPress for two and a half years and don’t even have 200 followers. 😂😂

Wow! That puts it into perspective! I have no real idea of how followers find you, it just seems to keep growing! Take heart, it’s not about the numbers it’s about the quality and friendship of your connections xx

Of course dear Karen. Numbers on WP don’t bother me. I am so happy to have come across like-minded people. 😊
But on twitter the followers do visit and like, so it matters.

You’re a step ahead of me then. I have a twitter account, don’t use it, not quite sure I see the use in Twittering. Or Tweeting. I’m going to have to relook at it, see if I can work out what the Tweeting hell the fuss it all about!! 🙂

Likewise in that I have an old (personal) twitter account that I’ve hardly used in the 10+ years I’ve had it. Tbh I only started using it as a way of promoting my book! You never know someone in twitter world may think I’m awesome 😎😍

I use twitter in a completely different way. I’m not about numbers but rather about quality reading material when I’m sitting at a kid’s practice, for example. Also I follow some handles for inspiration, like for cooking.

I have no idea really! I follow lots of poetry so I guess similar… my kind of reading. I write to inspire and I like finding new interpretations of old themes, eg love.
