Bubble of Calm (poetic prompt: peace)

Today my mind is getting back to routine.  I had a peaceful house for an hour before parkrun as hubby and younger son were at Scout camp and older son still asleep in bed… no noise, no distractions, nothing but me and my bubble of calm.  Following parkrun my older son and I went to the pony sanctuary, they had plenty of volunteers so we weren’t given any work to do, instead we just spent time with the ponies and chatting to the other volunteers.

Poetic prompt: peace

Bubble of Calm

sitting here
in my bubble of calm
away from noise
and safe from harm
the early morning
with gentle light
flows softly over
my room of white
it wraps my body
in an ivory shawl
this peaceful bubble
inside my walls
