Twitter poetry (1)

A space for me to share my twitter poetry… 🙂

Song prompt: Hotel California

My feet heavy, I trudge along
Kicking up dust from arid roads
Enveloping me in a hazy cloud
My mouth dry, eyes gritty, head spinning
Moonlight filters down through wispy clouds
Pale in comparison to the glowing light ahead
So warm, so welcoming
A haven to escape the desert air

#Sleepyhead

my eyes are tired
my body too
I need to sleep
the whole night through
I’ll turn off the laptop
and take a break
I’m off to bed
until I wake

 #MondayMotivation

Let the sun set on your worries
and rise with new possibilities

your face
a memory
in the gallery
of my mind

their voices heard

heat of desire
ignites the flammable

your fingertips brushed my cheek
spreading a subtle warmth throughout

#hangtenstories 608 paper

paper hearts
blown on the wind
they flutter and spin

#hangtenstories 607 lantern

let love’s lantern
light a path
straight to my soul

#hangtenstories 606 cajole

love is natural
organic
not forced
by words that cajole

#hangtenstories 605 mettle

your mettle clear
as stormy seas
rock our fragile world

#hangtenstories 604 topaz

sunlight’s golden rays
glisten and glow
on shimmering topaz waters

the manifesto
full of lies
hidden within
the truth inside

with one glance
my entire being
is infused with love

#hangtenstories 601 missive

two hearts
committed
our souls
convicted
love shared
by missive
