Untitled

grasping fingers like tendrils of smoke
consuming my soul and drowning all hope
dark deep waters with weeds that bind
trapping me under in murky confines
spiralling round, crushing my chest
lungs heaving with effortful breath
tingling spreads from my fingertips
slower now my heartbeat skips
glistening lights dance in my eyes
body weakens my breath’s a sigh
the fight has left this crumpled heap
soaked in despair and misery deep
