National Poetry Month 2: Why do you think you can’t? (poem)

Day 2, to tie in with my Transformation Tuesday post scheduled to publish later today, my theme word is confidence.

Why do you think you can’t?

when you were young, your head full of dreams
things you would do and crazy schemes

did anyone tell you, you can’t do that
you don’t have the patience
you don’t have the knack

imagination provides the guide
to possibilities within your mind
a single thought sows the seed
work with passion and you will succeed

think of the future, follow a plan
… why do you think you can’t, when you can?
