Twitter poetry (12) the comeback!

Faith
hopes, dreams and memories
stars that sparkle in the night
pinpricks of faith and belief
surrounding my world without end

Faith

Survival
cracked by relentless heat
of long summer days
longing for thirst quenching
life giving rain
yet defying logic
a tiny shoot breaks through this arid barren earth
it’s yellow bloom alive
and shining like the sun

Barren

100 Candles
light a candle in honour
light a candle to remember
light a candle for each year that passes
for the millions of young men who risked everything
for those who returned
and those who didn’t
for those left behind
remember and honour

100 candles
