Today I decided I would take a look at ‘poem 1’ from my to-do-list to decide whether it was something I could develop further.
I can now reveal that the mysterious ‘poem 1’ is my story of the magpie, ‘All That Glitters‘.
And I’m extremely excited to announce that today, after many hours of writing and thinking, and thinking and writing, I have completed a first draft of this rhyming children’s story.
All That Glitters
- 14 verses
- 112 lines
- almost 500 words
This is by far the longest poem I’ve written and certainly the first poem that has its own stroyline!
But you’ll have to wait until it’s been illustrated and published ~ sorry!
Wooohooo! And wow, that’s an impressively long piece 😀
