My running week (48)

Just a quick update on my not running, running week!

I’m in a bit of a muddle, my mind is confused… over the past two weeks I’ve had visitors, an early Christmas meal, the boys birthdays, Christmas market stall and a couple of band gigs and I feel like my neurons are firing sluggishly while the rest of me manages ‘life’.  oh and I also have a head cold now too.

But, enough of the oh poor me I’m so busy/ill routine we’re here to talk about my efforts to get back to running, so…

  • I went to the gym once, did rowing machine and bike
  • I had to step back to level 1 physio after doing too much walking last weekend
  • I did a lot of walking this week and band practice (Thursday) and two gigs (Saturday evening & Sunday morning)

The result right now – 6pm UK time – is that my calf muscle feels tight and achy and combined with feeling unwell I will definitely enjoy a day or two of extreme resting!

Goals for next week… rest and anything more than that’s a bonus!
