Early morning

After a long break from work my lovely hubby is back in the office today, the house already seems empty without him here.  The boys are still in bed and I’m making the most of the peace while it lasts.  Is it really so wrong to hope that the teens stay in bed until late?

Life won’t get fully back to normal until next Tuesday when both boys are back in school/college so until then I’ll grasp the opportunities for planning and writing and getting my head back to some kind of ordered existence.

Today’s task is to come up with a plan for poetry greetings cards.  I have already purchased the blank cardstock and have some pretty papers (not sure if they have an official name but they’re the ones people use for scrapbooking), I’ve also got some watercolour paints which will really test my creativity as painting is not something I’ve ever really tried.  But first task is to work out how to set up the printer/office software to print on the correct part of the cards at an appropriate size etc.

If I want to sell at craft fairs etc I need more merchandise than just my books.  However, wonderful I think my poetry is I’m sensible enough to understand that lower cost items sell more readily, and so evolves my business!

Have a great post-holiday back to some kind of normal Wednesday folks xx
