Who are we within the web? (Poem 2019-1)

Who Are We Within the Web?

Stories and history intertwined
A woven web with threads pulled tight
Enclosed within a centre tied
A mesh of truth, mixed with lies
And misremembered memories
Hopes of what our life could be
Mashed together, the central sphere
Adds connections year on year
A chance encounter, one more thread
The web evolves as we gently tread
And move away from yesterday
But history will still remain
Forever tied within our web
When memories fade from our head
