Now this is going to get confusing, it’s day 7 of my #NewYearNewMe #GymBunny #HealthyEating campaign, day 14 of #REDJanuary, and day something else of experimenting with #Veganuary. Regardless, one week ago my target was set for a weight loss of 12lbs, so how am I doing?

Day 7: Loss of 2lbs
Pretty good I’d say. I’m beginning to struggle with not binge eating my way through some unfeasibly large boxes of chocolates and I did have a little more than my alloted amount at the weekend but mostly my resolve is holding strong.
Veganuary is in full swing now that the milk drinking folk of my house have finished the remainder of the dairy milk. My younger son had a fusion of cow and soy on his bran flakes this morning but didn’t seem bothered by it. Older son and hubs had toast. I had soy and oat milk in my porridge.
RED January is going well, I had a rest day yesterday with just 30 mins of yoga but was out this morning for a 3.5 mile walk with a friend. I haven’t yet planned for the rest of the week but imagine it will involve gym and more walking.
Been busy writing a piece on parenting and mental health from my perspective as an adoptive parent. I hadn’t realised this stuff still had the power to move me to tears.
