Tidying my mental in-box

Hi all,

I’ve finally settled down to the task I’ve been meaning to do for a while and that is to review my submissions, responses, and what has been published where.  This level of organisation used to be so natural to me, but hey-ho I guess I’ll still muddle along.

Poems accepted for publication

White Light Shadow and Stone Archway published in Further Within Darkness & Light (June 2018) nOthing BOOKS

With Just One Look, Life is a Ceremony, Summer Flowers, and Be My Angel published in Voice of Eve Issue 1 (online August 2018, print September 2018)

Promises, A Photograph is not a Memory, and Do We Bleed? published in Voice of Eve Issue 5 (online December 2018)

The Distance Between Us, Broken, and Where Are You? published on Beneath the Rainbow (online January 2019)

* Mountain Sanctuary to be published in Breaking Free (October 2018) Forward Poetry

* World Cup Final 2018: A to Z to be published in Across the Page (January 2019) Forward Poetry

Self-published collections

Kaleidoscopic Beauty (June 2018) comprising 65 poems

I am the Stars in the Sky (October 2018) comprising 73 poems

Currently in submission

Do you see me?, Behind a Smile, and One of Many for an anthology on illness (expected response March)

Can a Beetle Fly?, Feasting on Jam, and Grasshopper Song for an anthology on insects for children aged 8+ (expected response April)

Nature’s Graveyard, First Dance, and The Raven King for an anthology of gothic poems (expected response April)

* Thomas Hardy (1840-1928) for an anthology of appreciation of writers who have brought joy and inspiration to us, ref. world literacy day

* Glimmers of Light for an anthology on war and peace, ref. centennial of armistice

* A Sky Empty of Stars for an anthology of scary/horror poetry

You’ll Find Me In My Dreams, Ashes on the Wind, Words, Broken Silence, and Second Date to Cake magazine

All That Glitters, a poetry storybook for young children submitted to Olympia Publishers

And that is why I can’t remember who, what, where and when!  There’s just too many poems awaiting responses.

Also, I’m unsure what is happening with Forward Poetry, all lines marked * are poems that have been either accepted by or are awaiting response from Forward Poetry.  However, their publication Breaking Free is showing as unavailable and Across the Page doesn’t even seem to exist.

I feel so much better having done this exercise, now I can work on some new submissions to add to this long list!
