Random ramblings

Hey there!

It’s been a long and tiring day so I have very much been lounging on my sofa in my pjs since about 6pm fuelled by sugar… I’m shattered.

This morning I was at the hospital for my exercise stress test, one of many investigations into my dizzy spells. This involves being on a treadmill while wired up to ecg and blood pressure monitors. Every three minutes the elevation and speed is increased until one of three outcomes is achieved; 1- the test finishes, 2- the patient is physically unable to continue, or 3- symptoms occur which means the test has to stop.

I had every expectation that they’d have to stop the test early because of my calf injury, however I didn’t reach that point as after twelve or fifteen minutes I had dizzy symptoms and almost blacked out (hence the extreme tiredness and the fact that I can’t remember how long the test lasted).

The temporary verdict is that my heart is fine but my blood pressure not so much. Unfortunately this qualifies me for yet another test (inwardly groaning) and so my life as a patient continues.

Good that your heart is fine, but I’m sorry more tests are needed to get to the bottom of the dizzy spells. I assume it’s low BP that’s occurring? xx

My leg injury is ongoing from October, it’s an odd club to be part of though!

      1. Ahaha very odd club. I think there are more sub-clubs to it. I have been seeing knee injuries more lately, here on wordpress.
