Warrior (Poem 2019 – 24)

My head is all over the place at the moment, juggling too many things and dropping them all continually.  Maybe the reason that I go all in on whatever new project is because I cognitively cannot keep on top of everything.  I want to learn watercolours, I want to write poetry, I want to sew and crochet and knit, I want to learn piano, and most of all right now I want to get back to running.  My brain doesn’t seem capable of switching between all these things, so I drift…

Floating between everything and committing to nothing.

stand tall
inner peace
floods your body
washing your organs
in calming yellow light
open your body
strong posture
igniting your inner strength
be a warrior

  1. A strong poem, very emboldening.
I know what you mean about flitting between things. I find it hard to focus and end up going between one thing and another, never quite settling or getting far on any. But that’s not always a bad thing; you have to go with the flow sometimes of what you’re cognitively capable of and it shows that your motivation, your drive, your want to do things is still very much in tact! xx
