I’m in a motivational quote kind of headspace today.
Who knew that my life would be subject to such twists and turns that have brought me to where I am today?
For my family and friends, and all those lovely people who’ve followed my blog from the beginning, thank you for your support and encouragement.
For those new to my blog, thank you for finding me and I hope you find some inspiration in my words.
For my GP, my psychologist, my team of NHS heroes, I am here today because of you.
For the publishers who have believed in my poetry, for Amazon for making self-publishing accessible, for those who have bought my books, thank you.
That’s enough of the whole award acceptance speech vibe… there is a point to this post.
And that point is self-doubt – now you’re really wondering where I’m going with this.
Self-doubt is the biggest barrier to success
It’s the voice that makes you give up before you’ve even started
The voice that drowns out logic
And destroys hope
Self-doubt tells us lies and we believe them, we believe that we’re not worthy, or capable.
We believe that our destiny lies in the hands of others and of fate.
We believe our success is down to random luck.
But it’s not true
We can change our lives
We can live our dreams
We have the power
If we can just believe in ourselves
