Take Your Time (Poem 2019 – 26)

take your time

think nothing of mine

minutes sweep into hours

the future consumes the present

leaving the past as all that remains

of my life

my time

waiting for you

for a sign

anything to remind me that there’s more to life

than simply waiting

Waiting can be excruciating, and it drains at hope. Beautifully written 🙂
