During Veganuary I subscribed to a monthly box of vegan treats from The Vegan Kind.
One of the items in March’s box was a vegan version of a Pot Noodle (no idea if Pot Noodles are vegan anyway). Having done double classes this morning, stretch followed by Kettlebells, I wanted something quick and easy for lunch and opening the cupboards I found the ‘Natur Compagnie Asia style vegetable and noodle soup’.
Quick and easy it certainly ticked those boxes – fill to line with boiling water, stir, wait 4 minutes. And it actually tasted good too! However, when I logged it on My Fitness Pal the following message was displayed:
This meal/snack contained 122% of my recommended sodium. Not necessarily a problem for me as I’ve been advised I have low sodium anyway, but shocking regardless and proof that just because it’s vegan doesn’t mean it’s healthy.
