TheVeganKind lifestyle box

During #Veganuary I signed up to receive the Lifestyle Box of goodies from TheVeganKind and I can genuinely say that opening this box is one of the highlights of my month every month.

Each box contains six or seven food and drink items plus one surprise product and a recipe card. Generally there is chocolate, and believe me that vegan chocolate is just as good as dairy chocolate, and as a chocolate lover I’m always happy to try something new!

The savoury items can be a bit hit and miss for me, as February proved with candied jalapeño relish, I’m not big on spicy food so this one was instantly donated to my hubby, another box had vegan version of beef jerky – again not my thing.  However I usually have willing volunteers to eat anything I don’t want.  And a room of sad faces when I decline to share the rest of it… Candy Kittens could be my new addiction!

The surprise products are always great, so far I’ve received shampoo, lip balm, a recipe book, and a vitamin oral spray.  This month I was very excited to find a natural plastic free deodorant… what excellent timing as I move onwards in trying to reduce my plastic footprint.  Other items in May’s box of goodies include a Squirrel Sisters raspberry ripple energy bar – love their brownie bar, so looking forward to this one, salted caramel popcorn with cashews (yum),  and smoky bacon popchips.

The Ben and Anna Natural Soda Persian Lime Deodorant smells gorgeous and, as well as being vegan, is certified organic, contains no aluminium or parabens, and is environmentally packaged in cardboard instead of plastic.
I look forward to putting it to the test over the next week and hope it stands up to the sweaty challenge of track on Monday.

Ooo I wouldn’t mind trying smoky bacon popchips. I think I’d find the food rather hit & miss, but the surprise things you’ve had to far do sounds pretty cool! Plenty of variety in these boxes 🙂

The food is varied and won’t always suit everyone but generally I enjoy the majority of the box.
