Invisible (Poem 2019 – 34)

Do you see me
or even know I’m here?

My arms open
waiting ~ for your embrace

My heart open
waiting ~ for your kindness

Do you hear me?
My heartbeat louder than rain bouncing on the taut canopy of your umbrella

. . .

I see you

I see you in technicolour
your shimmering light casting everyone into shadow

I see your gaze wash over me
as if I don’t exist

As in your eyes I don’t exist

. . .

I never did

To you I’ve always been invisible

  1. Very nice, Karen! I just read your story about how you started blogging. I congratulate you on fighting mental illness. There are so many of us out there. I look forward to reading more. 🙂
