Watercolour animals

The other day I was sitting in my den staring at an empty sheet of watercolour paper suffering what I can only assume is the artists equivalent of writer’s block – not that I consider myself an artist. I wanted to paint but didn’t have a clue what to paint. Flicking through books hoping to find inspiration I complained to hubby and he suggested that I paint a giraffe… a giraffe, I can’t do that!

I googled ‘giraffe images’, found inspiration and a few hours later my giraffe was complete.

The next day, inspired by the relative success of my giraffe painting, I chose to do a chameleon (as hubby likes chameleons).

Maybe my future career is cutesy watercolour greetings cards?
