Did I reach my goal?

Regular readers may recall that I wanted to lose half a stone in weight by Sunday’s race, an ambitious target as when I set this goal I only had about three and a half weeks to achieve it.  So, while I didn’t reach the half stone, I did lose 4lbs which I feel is impressive enough!  As the time for that goal has now passed, I have decided on my next weight goal (and hoping it will be easier now I’m sort of back running).

My target is to lose half a stone by 1st December, with a mini goal of -4 lbs by 10th November.  These dates correspond to the next two Borders League races and are four and seven weeks away, meaning a weight loss of 1 lb per week, which is definitely doable.

My plan?  Honestly, you think I have a plan!?

Diet: I’m going to stick with my protein/meal replacement shakes plus banana for breakfast, salad, soup or stir fried veg (with a protein source) for lunch, and a proper evening meal.  I’m not banning any foods because we all need treats in our life.

Activity: running – 2-3 times per week, gym – mix of strength work and cardio 2-3 times per week, physio 3 times per week, and try to build up my walking distance and speed.

ooh, that almost seems like a plan!
