Rain (Poem 2019 – 52)

Sitting in my creative den having just written some Christmas cards, feel honoured if you receive one as I don’t write many!  The rain is blowing hard against my window and my, normally relaxing, wind chimes are clanging as they swing with the wind.

(poem a day: day 7 – catching up!)

Rain

wind chimes clang their discordant sound
as wild rain lashes down
and drums against the window pane
the sky is black as night again
no twinkling stars on display
the moon is covered in clouds of grey
