End of term art class

This week as an end of term/Chrsitmas activity we had the option of finishing our robins on the blue background that we’d sprinkled salt on, or doing some fun Christmas watercolours.  Having painted quite a few robins for my stall at the craft fair, I was happy to try something different.

These two were completed in class using watercolours and ink to outline/highlight.  The shading on the bear and snowman was done using ultramarine blue, it really helps to add a three-dimensional look to the image.

These I completed after the class using watercolour paints and then adding the shading and highlights with watercolour pencils.

Cute, right? ❤
