Today is Grey (Poem 2019 – 56)

This December the weather seems to flip from lovely blue sky winter days to those where it’s just grey and wet and miserable looking… The kind of day where staying inside all day is a good choice.  Today is grey but I’m going to brighten this grey day with a poem.

(poem a day: day 11)

Today is Grey

today is grey
as rain pours down
from grey clouds
in a grey sky

today is grey
puddles on the ground
and running water
swirls in drains

today is grey
raincoats and umbrellas
heads down
hurrying home

today is grey
until rainbows
rip apart the cloud
wrapped sky
