Like Angels (Poem 2019 – 69)

Today, I’m going to try something a bit different, selecting a random book from the bookcase ~ A Recipe for Bees by Gail Anderson-Dargatz ~ random page ~ 184 ~ part of the first paragraph on that page ~ “birds had twittered and swooped like angels around the cathedral spires” ~ and use that to inspire a poem!

(poem a day: day 24)

Like Angels

swirling white clouds
in crystal blue skies
golden rays shimmer
and light cathedral spires
a chorus of birds twitter
and swoop like angels
